Service Description

CookingGuru provides a recipe generation service that:

• Converts recipe videos from supported platforms (currently Instagram Reels and TikTok) into text format
• Offers free and premium usage tiers
• Allows registered users to save generated recipes

Usage Limits

Free Access (Non-Registered Users)

• Limited to 2 recipe generations from social media videos per month
• Access to basic recipe generation features

Free Access (Registered Users)

• Up to 5 recipe generations from social media videos per month
• Ability to save up to 5 generated recipes
• Access to basic recipe generation features

Premium Features (Paid Subscription)

• Unlimited recipe generation requests
• Unlimited saved recipes
• Access to nutritional information
• All features available to registered users
• Additional features may be added over time

Subscriptions and Billing

Paid Plans

CookingGuru offers paid subscription plans (monthly and yearly) that provide access to premium features. Subscription prices are displayed at the point of purchase and may vary by platform.

Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You will be charged the applicable subscription fee at the start of each new billing period.

Cancellation

• You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will retain access to premium features until then.
• iOS App Store:Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. To cancel, use your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions, or visit Apple's subscription management page.
• Website: Subscriptions purchased on the website can be managed through your account settings.

Refunds

For subscriptions purchased through the iOS App Store, refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy. For subscriptions purchased on our website, please contact us at [email protected] to request a refund. Refund requests are assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Price Changes

We may change subscription prices from time to time. Any price changes will take effect at the start of the next billing period following notice of the change. Your continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

User Accounts

Account Creation

• You must use one of our supported authentication methods (Google, Apple, or email link) to create an account
• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You must not share your account credentials with others

Account Termination

• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
• We may terminate accounts that have been inactive for an extended period

Relationship with Social Media Platforms and Content Creators

AI-Generated Content

Recipes generated by CookingGuru are produced using automated technology, including artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy, you acknowledge that:

• Generated recipes may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions
• Nutritional information is estimated and should not be relied upon for medical or dietary decisions
• You are responsible for verifying ingredients, quantities, cooking times, and allergen information before preparing any recipe
• CookingGuru does not guarantee that generated recipes will match the original video content exactly

iOS App and App Store

If you access the Service through our iOS app, the following additional terms apply:

• These Terms are between you and CookingGuru, not Apple Inc. Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content.
• Your use of the app must comply with the App Store Terms of Service.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
• In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal compliance, or intellectual property claims.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that any content will be accurate, reliable, or complete.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CookingGuru and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
